With what do AHS individuals like to fill their stomachs?
by Erin J.
I went around Airport asking students and faculty what their favorite spots to eat were, because when you get done doing what’s necessary, you get hungry. Airport students and faculty, just like anyone else gets hungry. What better time than to ask people what their favorite eating spots are than during lunch? Surprisingly, a good amount of AHS individuals have good taste.
Mia W., AHS Sophmore:
“McDonalds- cause the fries are good, why not?”
Elliot H., AHS Sophomore:
“I don’t know, uh- Ruby Tuesday’s. I like the salad bar.”
Mrs. Rabon, AHS Teacher:
“I guess uhm, La Fogada. Yeah, it’s a Mexican restaurant.”
Alyssa A., AHS Junior:
“Fugi, It’s a japanese restaurant I go to. Every time I go I get the teriyaki steak with white rice, no carrots extra broccoli.”
Mrs. Muller, AHS Librarian:
“I like Texas Roadhouse, mainly for their rolls, their food is kinda- eh. But I love a good ole’ roll. Any place with bread like- free bread is good with me.”
Mrs. Mooneyham, AHS Teacher:
“Let’s go with chick-fil-a. Quick and Good.”
Mrs. Niland, AHS Teacher:

Mrs. Burnetts, AHS Teacher:

Lucy C., AHS Sophomore:
“Uhm, I going to have to say Chick-fil-a, they have good meals. Those chicken sandwiches are scrumptious!”
Mrs. Martinez, AHS Teacher:
“I like Texas Roadhouse, cause of the bread. The bread is everything.”
Diego G., AHS Sophomore :
“I love Zaxby's, because of the Number two, 6 tender plate with two texas toasts and a large sweet tea. Zaxby's is amazing I always go there. If I could go to Zaxby's everyday I would. I love Zaxby's.
Akira J., AHS Sophomore:
“Zaxby’s because they have good food. I get the Boneless barbecue wings, fries, chicken tenders, toast and a drink.”
Apparently, Texas Roadhouse has very life-altering bread rolls. If you haven’t tried them- I say go try it out. Chick-fil-a as always, is pretty popular among AHS too. Quick service and good food is always going to be a win. A handful of the individuals I’ve interviewed said that they’re favorite restaurant involved variety, or- as you can see in their responses. I’d say AHS students and faculty have good taste.
Now for South Carolina as a whole, there seems to be a trend of cafes and fancy bistros and fast food joints that are popular in the Columbia, according to Thrillist’s, Must-Try Restaurants in Columbia, SC. cafe’s like Cafe Strudel, Cool Beans Coffe Co., Sweet Cream Co, Dl Prato’s, Just Us Cafe, and restaurants or fast food joints like Camon Japanesse Resturant, Drake’s Duck In, The Whig, etc. have been given high ratings and popularized throughout Columbia. Some Airport students I haven’t interviewed, probably would’ve responded with some of these restaurants aswell. If you haven’t tried one of these restaurants, I recommend trying them!
