About The Eyrie
The Eyrie is Airport High School's newspaper, first published shortly after the school's founding in the 1970s. For many decades, the paper was printed, witnessing the transition from manual to desktop publishing. Then, in the mid-2000s with the increased popularily of broadcast media outlets, AHS student media founded the Eye on the Eagle student news and transitioned away from print journalism. Then, in 2016, under the guidance of a dedicated and possibly overambitious English teacher, AHS students resurrected the print edition and published six issues (also available digitally). The following year we transitioned to 100% paperless to allow for better timeliness and regularity in reporting the wonderful events that occur at Airport High School.

Fun Fact: The paper gets its name from what an eagle's nest is called.
