Varsity football off to rocky starrt

This year, when it comes to the Airport football team, the main topic is the losses. Although they work hard, the players kind of fall short of the win, but definitely not because of their talent. As a  member of the  football team myself--I’m on JV and I'm in practice everyday with the varsity players and they are very talented. 

But the question everybody wants to know is why the Airport football team is losing.

First, let's get into what we do in practice. We run plays and some drills. ¨My favorite part is playing against the varsity guys.¨ It helps me get better at football because they are so bigger than me.

Varsity/JV practice to Monday - Wednesday. JV has games on Thursdays and varsity have games on Fridays. Our JV record is 2-2 and our varsity record is 1-4 

Despite the losses, Coach Fidler noted, "I love coaching this team." While in practice he told the whole team, "We will win the next game."

Jay E. is a freshman starting quarterback on varsity and he says he love competing with older guys and he will bounce back from the loses.

For those who may be curious, the best high school team in the nation is Mater Del in California according to Maxpreps.com.

The first football game ever was played in 1869.

According to most people, quarterback is the hardest position to play in football.

The next varsity football game is October 11. We will play GCA at their place.
