Airport High School only sells two different kinds of cookies in the lunch line, which are chocolate chip and double chocolate chip. Some students want more variety, considering many students’ favorite cookies are not sold in the cafeteria. We are writing this article not only to show Airport that they need to sell more types of cookies but also to inform the cafeteria staff about what cookies they could potentially sell. As two aficionados of cookies, we are qualified to make this list.
We, Madilyn B. and Jamarion L., as two aficionados of cookies, are qualified to make this list. We’ve created this list together as amateur cookie enthusiasts and have been for three years. We conduct studies on the best cookies and the ingredients in each one.
This is the Top 10 Best Cookies List and why they are just so good!
10. Lemon Crème
Lemon cream cookies are well liked because they offer a delightful balance of sweet and tart flavors from the combination of lemon zest and juice, a soft and chewy texture, and the versatility of different preparation methods like a simple cookie or a more decadent glazed cookie. Some good brands to get them from are Lance, Dare, and Crispy.
9. Oreos
Oreos are so good to us because they combine a crunchy, slightly bitter chocolate cookie with a sweet, creamy filling, and this texture and flavor combination is highly rewarding. The specific combination of ingredients, including sugar and cocoa, creates a sweet and savory flavor profile that can activate the brain's pleasure centers in a way similar to highly addictive drugs, as shown in a Connecticut College study.
8. Blue Grandma Cookies
They are large, have a classic chocolate chip cookie texture that is chewy and crispy, and are often compared to other popular brands like the red-packaged Chips Ahoy, but with a more generous size and chocolate chip ratio.
7. Fudge Stripes
Fudge Stripes are a classic childhood memory and favorite. The perfect round cookies are drizzled with thick lines of chocolate along with a thick coating on the bottom, giving them the perfect chocolate taste mixed with the cookie. They are delightful shortbread cookies coated in Keebler fudge.
6. White Chocolate Chip
White chocolate chip cookies give you the perfect chocolate taste without the overpowering chocolate flavor. The best kind of white chocolate chip cookies are from Tate's Bake Shop; they have the perfect crunch and balance between cookie and white chocolate chips.
5. Red Velvet
Red velvet cookies are rich in flavor and perfect for any occasion. They have a rich and savory sweet vanilla and chocolate flavor mixed with a hint of cinnamon and topped with perfect white cream cheese frosting. The sweet and soft cookie is a combination of spicy, sweet, and creamy—perfect for a wedding, event, or just a late-night craving snack to soothe all your worries away.
4. M&M’s
M&M cookies are always perfect for when you want something crunchy and sweet with a little hint of peanut. It’s the perfect mix of M&Ms in a single cookie, and it’s the best combination with milk or by itself. The perfect combination of chocolate with peanuts is mixed into a sweet sugar cookie.
3. Peanut Butter
Peanut butter cookies are number three because of the peanut butter taste. When made correctly, the peanut butter flavor shouldn’t be too strong but just right. When you bite into the cookie, it should be soft and dissolve in your mouth, allowing you to taste the peanut butter flavor more intensely.
2. Reese’s Chips Ahoy
Reese’s Chips Ahoy cookies are number two because they have the taste of a regular Chips Ahoy cookie mixed with the peanut butter and chocolate flavor of Reese’s. Unlike regular Reese’s cookies, these are soft, so they go even better when paired with milk.
1. Chocolate Chip
Chocolate chip cookies are top tier at number one because they are the original cookies and they never miss, with an amazing crunch of chocolate chips inside a soft cookie. The sweet and salty mix is a hit every time! We recommend Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies because they give the perfect crunch; it is the perfect “homemade” chocolate chip cookie.
We asked teachers at Airport High School, including Ms. Warner, for their favorite cookies. Ms. Warner stated in an email response to us: “I only like sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies, when I even eat cookies.”
We also caught a response from Ms. Niland about the cookie selection in the cafeteria. Ms. Niland stated, “The cafeteria should have a bigger selection, taking into account that some people don’t like chocolate.” She also said, “What about the people who are gluten-free or allergic to certain things? There should always be a big variety for all different kinds of people—you never know.”
According to websites like ThoughtCo and Spokesman, the best-selling cookies are generally Oreos globally and by brand, with chocolate chip cookies being the most popular flavor. Other best-selling cookie types include Girl Scout cookies like Thin Mints, Chips Ahoy!, and brands like Pepperidge Farm and Little Debbie.
