'The Eras Tour' movie review

by Alyssa R.

Many students at airport are fans of Taylor Swift but were not able to attend the concert, but they were able to go to the Eras Tour movie. The Eras tour movie was a film about her most recent tour which she called The Eras tour, the movie is very much like the concert, it's basically her concert in a film. It takes you through a journey of her music career and all her different “eras”.

The Eras tour movie was an amazing film about her recent tour and gave a great experience with her amazing songs, production/ costuming, and gave a great experience especially to people like myself who weren't able to attend the concert

Taylor Swift is an amazing musician and she has made loads of money from this tour. Taylor swift has been making music and performing since she was 15 and her first album came out in 2006. Throughout her career she has experimented with many different genres of music. Taylor Swift's music has a special place in many people's hearts. The way she writes her lyrics and sings her songs especially live is truly amazing and that is one of my favorite parts of this movie. Getting to hear her sing live and sing along as well.

Another reason I love this movie is the production and costuming. During this movie Taylor goes through many costume changes and each one is better than the last, and all her costumes correspond greatly with the songs/era she is singing at this time. Another thing I think that is particularly great about this movie that you didn't get to experience if you just went to the tour is the behind the scenes. At the end of the movie there are many blooper-like scenes called the errors tour. Scenes like her cape getting stuck on her head whipping rain water from her very wet piano, and even additional moments of fans enjoying themselves, trading bracelets, and singing along.

One of my favorite aspects of this movie is that it gave fans like myself who didn't get the opportunity to go to one of her concepts the opportunity to experience similar things. Many fans were not able to attend the concert due to ticket prices, location, and tickets being sold out. The film just gave many fans opportunities to have the experience they otherwise wouldn't have, which many artists don't do.

Megan S., AHS cross country coach, said, “I really enjoyed it and I'm glad that everyone was able to access the concert that wouldn't have been able to otherwise.”

“It was an amazing experience and one of my favorite movies,” said Lauren C., an Airport student and Swiftie.

“The Eras Tour” has a 99% score on the Tomatometer. One reviewer Amy Nicholson says she was not a Swiftie when she entered the movie but it definitely became one of the great concert documentaries she's seen. Another reviewer Melanie Fischer says, if you close your eyes you almost feel like you're there, and the movie does a great job of capturing the energy of the concert.

I would rate this movie a 10/10. I definitely recommend seeing it whether you're a Swiftie or not. It's just a great experience especially if you didn't attend the actual tour. One palace you can go to see is the Columbiana Grande.
