Raymond Harper, also known as “Rolling Ray,” tragically passed away on September 3, 2025 in Maryland. He was suffering from preexisting medical conditions, and getting the flu tragically caused his light to go dim.
Rollying Ray was extremely popular for his unapologetic humor on different social media platforms, appearances on shows like Catfish and Divorce Court ; he also had many catchphrases like “purr” and “its giving”. Rolling Ray co-hosted the hitshow on Zeus Network “Bobby I love You, Purrr”. He grew to have a large social media following on which he shared lots of commentary, his sense of fashion, and life updates on how everything's going for him.
Rolling Ray came straight out of Washing, D.C.! More than just someone famous online; he set the entire vibe. Ray showed us all what being a true fighter meant, doing it with his one-of-a-kind style.Ray always kept it 100% about living with spinal muscular atrophy and being in a wheelchair since childhood. He went through so much, including a fire and being in a coma. After that, he kept dropping looks and jokes, proving he was a boss through and through. He got mega-famous after that wild appearance on Divorce Court in 2019. Ray's reactions and burns instantly became perfect memes. He just had a gift for turning drama into something that made us all laugh .And those lines? Ray created purrr and it's giving a whole thing, and now everyone online says it constantly. He was super relatable and funny, with a voice that everyone loved in the LGBTQ+ community and everywhere else. Sadly, Rolling Ray died of natural causes just before turning 29.
Everyone was super bummed, and so many people paid respect to him, with Cardi B calling him BIG PURRR! Ray showed us how to keep it real always. He’s a total icon, and everyone will miss him .
Rolling Ray's legacy is his vibrant personality, his unapologetic humor that brought laughter and authenticity to the internet. Ray continues to inspire the people he knew on the internet and in person
