Review of 'Terrifier 3'

By Nie'Chelle T.

With Social media being the biggest thing right now, like TikTok and Instagram, I'm sure that Airport students have seen ads and reels about a movie called Terrifier 3, which numerous influences have been talking about lately. Having seen the movie myself, I can confidently say that I enjoyed the movie and would like to share my thoughts with you!

If you watch Terrifer 3, you will have had to watch 1 and 2. The third one is based on a clown that loves to troll and kill and who appears in the previous films, so you need that backstory in order to appreciate the newest film in the franchise.

The first Terrifier was made in 2016 but theatrically released on July 19, 2023. Terrifier 2 was released October 6, 2022.  Terrifier 3, the subject of this review, came out on September 19 of this year, just in time for Halloween.

Terrifier 3 is a comedy and also a horror movie. It starts when Art the Clown and his associate were in a mental hospital. Art the Clown went to free the girl (AKA-associate ). They went to an old house and got stuck there for some years. Then, that's when the movie really starts. Art starts killing this family in a brutal way, but a little girl hides and he finds her, but then it skips to a new  scene. He basically came back to life and killed this family except for the girl he let go.

Overall, Terrifier 3 is a good movie for high schoolers, but maybe not senior citizens because the movie can get a little brutal at times, but besides from that, the movie is welled played and acted out

Secondly, not one time in the movie did I feel lost. I understood all of it. I was there for it and honestly I hope they make a 4th one. It’s always very annoying when movies move too fast or have too much going on, making the audience confused. This was not the case with Terrifier 3. The “lot was simple enough to follow but still interesting.

Lastly, the acting overall was good as well. The clown was really a funny character. He is a troll. I tell you that Lauren Lavera was the best . She was staying strong and never gave up. I loved that and in the movie she was always there for the family no matter what .Everyone in the movie was good but sadly they didn't make it to the end.

Ijazenae J., an Airport student who also saw the movie, said that it was just ok in the beginning. She didn't really know if she would be able to stand all the killing or the sexual content, and as she went on, she reiterated that it gave her mixed feelings overall.

Miyah M.--another airport student who saw the movie--said that it was a good movie and she loved it and hope they make another one.

Adam Olinger, known for reviewing movies on his YouTube Channel, stated that fans of the previous two Terrifier movies should know what to expect from this new installment. He pointed out that this one has more gore, more thrills, and way more Art the Clown. What they might not be expecting is just how funny this one is. Art brings just as many laughs as he does carnage.

Overall, I give this film 9 out of 10 stars.

My final recommendation: it was a very good movie and I really do recommend it, but if you don’t like horror movies then I don’t because this movie was really something scary.

If you do like horror films, you should go watch it in the movie theater called Regals Cinema in Harbison. It was  only 15 dollars.
