Personality Profile Delrico “Jay” Eady Jr.

By Nene P.

While most High School  quarterbacks usually range from junior to seniors, Airport High School's quarterback is a freshman, whose name is Delrico Eady Jr., but he goes by the name  Jay.

Jay was born on October 16, 2009 and is a very athletic student who participates in sports such as Football, Basketball, and Track .

Last year, Delrico was one of the captains for Pine Ridge Middle School’s Basketball team and was undefeated. With the help of his  teammates and in memory of Coach Rich, who passed away on November 14, 2022, the team did not have a single loss. Even with the passing of one of Jay’s loved ones, he pushes through and is accomplishing  his goals.

Jay has  been playing sports for almost his whole life, which so far has been 10 of his 15 years. During those years, he's been working his way up for his future career.

Jay is a student athlete which means a student first and an athlete second. When it comes to sports you have to have good grades or at least passing for when you do things like sports or school activities.  Jay manages and keeps up with his grades up and is an A&B honor Roll student.

Allegedly, Jay even received his first D1 offer in his 8th grade year and was also ranked #3 QB in South Carolina and #19 player in South Carolina for the class of 2028.

Inside and outside of school, Jay is still very focused on sports and even practices during the summer and works out to prepare himself for next season.

Jay also  does football camps in places like South Carolina, Georgia State, and Clemson. Not only does he attend camps in the summer , Jay also plays 7 on 7 football and plays AAU basketball.

With Jay in all his activities he isn't the only one when it comes to him he has many supporters and people who support and care for him. Jay isn't perfect and does from time to time mess up or have his ups and downs, but Jay's family and friends are there for him each and every step of the way and help him get through his battles even the ones that aren't on a track, field or court .

In conclusion, Jay isn't only a good student or athlete. He is a very good person and isn't for the drama and messy life. He mostly stays to himself and minds his business and is not big on social media but you can find him on MaxPreps.
