Parking pass prices higher at AHS than L2IC

by Juan T.

The students in Airport High School have recently noticed the price in parking. Students pay $70 to park on our campus but at the innovation Center the cost is only $15.

This is newsworthy because this affects some of the students in airports who have cars. Most of the students who have cars dislike the price of the parking pass because the price is way cheaper at the innovation center than the airport.

The parking pass at the airport is way more expensive than the cost which makes it unfair for the students to pay for the parking. In the innovation center the students pay a lot or less than in Ahs. The students prefer the High school to lower prices.

Most of the students in AHS are not playing the pass and are parking at the church near the school. The students who don't want to pay the parking have been at the church to park and walk a little bit.

The student Denzel Q said, “ As we, as the students of Airport High school, think it's an unfair price.” Denzel Q said this because he was upset with the price because it's expensive to the point he has to walk to school from the church to school.

Edgar Q, said, “It's kinda unfair because some students don't have enough to pay for parking.” His words ring true because some students just have enough money for gas just for the School over-priced the amount of money for parking.

The rationale behind higher prices at AHS versus L2IC is probably because the former is the students main school, and the latter is where they are for only part of the day.

Paying for parking on campus is nothing new, and the prices at colleges are even worse. According to USC's website, parking cost $110 per year.

If the prices are too high, consider contacting the school administration or writing to the board members about this issue. Students could also organizer fundraisers to acquire the funds needed to park on campus.
