Juniors transition to rising seniors status
by Delaina H.
The juniors of AHS are preparing to begin their last year of high school for the 2023-2024 year.
In all the years students are in school, senior year really counts. You're not just becoming a senior but also getting ready to start your next chapter through life. This will impact your overall high school academic career.
A lot comes with being an upcoming senior. College is a big one because it determines the journey you’ll take after high school. Most juniors towards the end of the year have to start worrying about college and what they'll do after high school. It's important to start thinking ahead so that you don't miss out on any important college related things such as ho using or registrations.
GPA is another fact about becoming a senior in high school, an important step as a rising senior. Even when you may have easier or less easier classes, GPA can decide whether you get college admission, scholarships, or even when you're creating your resume.
Kendrell, a current junior says, “I’m honestly both, I mainly try to stick to the present and just live life for what it is but when I’m by myself all I can think about is the future and the possibilities that might happen”. This could indicate that not all juniors have the mindset of thinking to the future.
Kendrell has also said, “I don't feel like senior year will be hard”. This is the idea most upcoming juniors like to think when becoming a senior.
Most juniors are ready to take that step after high school, but some are stuck not knowing the next step.
It's more likely that if you worry too much about your future you won't really be in the present. If you want to see and learn more information about life becoming a senior you can visit varsitytutor.com and at ivywise.com.
