Is it really that good? Are Chili’s cheese sticks worth all the hype? Here's my take.

As you may walk around Airport’s campus you’ll most likely see various students in the hallway on their phones probably scrolling through Snapchat, Instagram or TikTok, and one of the things that’s trending now are various videos of food, or not just food but people eating food. When people eat the food on camera you'll most likely see people supporting, rating or even promoting their food items and giving their honest review and opinion on it. Recently, one food video that has been trending and going viral has been people trying Chili’s famous cheese sticks. Chili’s recently came out with an updated flavor that's called Nashville hot and they also have their regular mozzarella sticks.   In general, people rave about Chili’s mozzarella sticks because they are thick and chunky rather than long and skinny. The new hot flavor is no different; it simply has the addition of very hot spices.Chili’s Nashville hot cheese sticks have been all over the internet  with great reviews with people saying it's crispy,has a lot of flavor and that it's very delicious.  Personally, I wanted to try them. So here is my story on this experience as well as my review on the actual product.  

One weekend morning, my mom and sister and I were running errands  doing things like walking around the market, going to the bank, and other stuff. As we did all of that stuff, time did go by and we all did start to get hungry around lunch time and decided instead of waiting to go home and whipping up something to eat, we would stay out and eat at Chili’s.In my head I wasn't even sure there was a Chilli’s but my mom had searched it up and it turns out there was around the area we were in from running errands. Once we arrived, the first thing I noticed was that there were no parking spaces and that it was very packed inside, including a line at the entry. When we walked in, one of the staff members had told us that there would be a 15 to 25 minute wait so while we were waiting my mom that decided that we should to go back to the car and drive and get gas because it was down the road and by the time we get back are table should be ready.

When we got back we got seated at a table by a sweet waiter who appeared young.She gave us are menus and then later on asked us what we would like to drink; eventually, she asked for our order, which included the viral cheese sticks.  

First of all, the cheese sticks were an appetizer called the “triple dipper” and it was the three piece .There was a lot of people so It wasnt that hot so the cheese wasn't that stretchy, but overall they were pretty good and well flavored, seasoned and not soggy but did have a nice crunch.

Secondly, the cheese sticks were very unexpected especially with the flavor since I didn't really know what to expect from only seeing videos but the flavor was pretty good. It was a spicy  oil flavor that went well with ranch and wasn't overpowering with spice so the cheese and the ranch paired well along with it well.

Finally, the cheese sticks came to 16.99 and I feel like the overall platter came with a good amount of food and sauces  but was a little bit overpriced for my liking but I can also understand the price because all of the food was pretty well seasoned and had a good flavor and nothing was raw or wasn't cooked all the way the only thing was the cheese sticks were not  that stretchy but as far as cooking it was pretty good so I can't complain but for the most part the platter did fill me a good bit up so it was definitely enough for one person.

Other students who have tried the cheese sticks have said there weren't as many people at Chili’s and their food was hot and ready and she loved her food but she felt as if they were a tad bit overrated, said Mallorie H.  She also went there from seeing tons of videos on her feed and thought the hype automatically meant they were incredible, but they were just alright. 

Someone I had seen on my For You page on TikTok, whose name and handle I cannot remember, was also raving about how good the cheese stick platter was. She is the one who inspired me to send it to my mom, which is why we went and tried it.  This TikToker said that the cheese sticks were alright but was a big fan of the mini slides that it came with and even took an extra one home.

My friend Samiyah M.  at school said she  really want to try the cheese sticks and has also been seeing it all over social media.  Shecan't wait to try it.

Overall, I rate the cheese sticks a solid 7.5 out of ten but in my total experience I rate a 8.3 out of ten. I had fun and enjoyed my time there but it wasn't my favorite but I definitely would go again and try a different area. The nearest Chili’s to Airport High School is located at 7715 Two Notch Rd..
