March 12, 2023, marks the 10th anniversary that Trey Branham, an Airport graduate and former member of the Airport Eagles football and wrestling team, tragically passed away in a car accident in the early morning around 2-3AM on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, on his way home from a graduation party.

Trey was born November 9, 1993, and lived out 19 amazing years as a son, brother, friend, and a soon to be father. The funeral services for Trey were held at 2:00PM, on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, then he was to be buried in the mausoleum in Southland Memorial Gardens. His pallbearers were close friends and relatives, Shane Boco, Alex Senn, Evan Merrel, Kyle Hatchel, Brock Juilian, Cody Humphries, Devin Hurt, Craig Crumpton, Dustin Smith-Hart, Kevin Hare and Jordan Hall. He was the son of Jack Branham, Jr. and Laurie Hare Branham. He was a recent graduate of Airport High School and was employed by UPS. He enjoyed spending his time with friends, mud riding, fishing and being outdoors.

Trey is survived by his parents, Jack and Laurie Branham; sister, Erica Gidron, adoptive sisters or technically nieces, Jada Branham and Madison ZeRuth, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Jack Branham, Sr.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 5:30PM to 7:30PM.

“I had coached the boy back when I was still coaching for Airport, he was a team player,” Coach Burnett said.

“It’s really sad that a kid I coached died so young,” Coach Burnett also commented.
