On Saturday, October 18, following a life of love and fond filled memories made, Robin Lynn Norris transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while surrounded by family. She was very educated in the public schools of Greenwood, South Carolina, where she attended Ware Shoal High School. She loved talking to youngest child, La’Keisha just because her youngest child would call her when she was bored and she loved talking to one of her granddaughters, Ji’Myriah who goes to Airport High School, because she helped through the hard times.
Robin had many gifts which was her love for her children and grandchildren even claiming the people at her work as her children and treating them like her children. She would always buy whenever she had the money even if it was a little money. She would always say "Appreciate everything you have because one day God will give back to you”.
Robin is survived by her loving companion Larry Rhodes; one son Jason (Janice) Whitted of Donalds SC; four daughters, Jamey Norris, Shamika Norris, Quasheda (Shephen) Parker, and La’Keisha (Dominic) Sallier, all of Columbia SC; Beverly (Wayne) Kidd of Abbeville; 16 grandchildren; a host of close family and friends, all of whom will miss dearly.
A private gathering of family and close friends was held in her memory at Leevy's Funeral Home Chapel, 1831 Taylor Street, Columbia, SC on October 24, 2025.
