Making slime is a popular craft for kids. It is easy to find the ingredients around your house and cheap to make if you have to go to the store and buy them. Making slime is also a fast simple process that keeps kids entertained for hours. I’ve made slime many times myself and with kids, so I know what works best. This recipe is one I’ve used over and over and it is very simple and always turns out great. Unlike a lot of slime recipes out there, this one uses only a few ingredients and is easy to clean up. In this article, you will learn the step by step process of making slime.
Step 1: Gather Ingredients To make slime you will need:
White school glue ( ½ cup)
Baking soda (1 teaspoon)
Contact lens solution ( 1 tablespoon)
Water (optional, ½ cup)
Food coloring or glitter (optional)
Step 2: Pour Glue into a Bowl Pour ½ cup of white school glue into a bowl.
Step 3: Add Baking Soda Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the glue.
Step 4: Mix WellStir the glue and baking soda together until they are completely mixed.
Step 5: Add Color or Glitter (Optional)
You can add food coloring and/or glitter to make your slime unique.
Step 6: Add Contact Lens SolutionAdd 1 tablespoon of contact lens solution to the mixture. Stir until the slime starts to form a ball.
Step 7: Knead the SlimeWhen the slime starts to pull away from the bowl and keep its shape, take it out and knead it with your hands. If it’s too sticky, you can add a little more contact lens solution.
Step 8: Play and Store Now your slime is ready! Play with it and store it in a container to keep it fresh.
