Drama occurring between couples in AHS
by DeAsia T. & Nie'Chelle T.
Drama in Airport High has been skyrocketing lately. The exposure of cheating, online conversations between two or more people who are already in relationships, and or multiple persons talking to the same significant other have recently been exposed or leaked. The tea is being clocked, friendships are falling apart and couples are breaking up left and right. Due to the recent information that has been released, there is an expectation along with rumors that people will be fighting and causing an uproar within the home of the eagles.
The prominence of breakups at AHS recently makes this news important. In Airport High School there have been many breakups lately. Couples have been known to be cheating on their significant other. Many unfaithful partners have been using social media to cheat and talk romantically to everyone other than their partner. Some examples of social media they have been using are Instagram, Snapchat, and Tiktok. The most frequently & commonly used social media inside of Airport is Instagram.
With this being said there has been plenty of students sharing their opinions & emotions about what a healthy relationship should look like and should be.
A couple of students were interviewed about how they feel about the relationships taking place within the walls of AHS.
Jamarion L. says that you cannot really have a relationship in AHS because of the rumors that are going around trying to ruin others' relationships. He also feels like the people in certain relationships at AHS are mostly unloyal and untrustworthy, he says it's hard to find relationships because of the people in AHS.
Next to be interviewed was Hannah. R. She said that to have a perfect and lasting relationship you have to have trust, loyalty and communication with your significant other. She says that if there isn't any trust or loyalty that most relationships fall apart.
The second to last person we have talked to about the relationship drama is Faith.B, who says that most relationships don't last because of the toxicness of the relationships and also like Hannah.R said the unloyalty. She believes that if more couples communicate and talk to each other about their problems they will have a more trustworthy and lasting relationship.
Here are some facts that we have found which are that 20% out of 100 high school students stay together until college and only 10% stay together until college. 90% of students don't last because they are too young and dont have enough time to do the things that adults do. They also don't want to experience new things and do not always want to be tied down by a relationship. Some students at AHS say that “ most of the students do not have enough experience developing healthy relationships”.
Lastly if you or any of your friends are having relationship problems or need advice you could go to their school counselor and see Mrs. Bryan. Or if you don't feel comfortable talking to her you could try to talk to one of your most loyal friends.
