Corey James Turner | 2003-2024

Corey Turner James passed after fighting his thoughts for years. He finally gave in on October 1, 2024. 

The last conversation he had was with his mother about his future and everything he wanted to do in life, making his passing all the more tragic.

Corey was my second to oldest brother. He was also my closest brother out of six of them. He protected me from bullies and just very smart boys growing up. Corey always stood up for what was right and not what everyone thought. 

Corey was born July 6th, 2003, in Augusta, Georgia. He lived a short young life very close off. He was the oldest to his eight other siblings and had one older brother. Corey finished school and graduated. He went on to be in the workforce to think out on what he wanted to do in life.

His funeral was held on October 13, 2024 at a private location.

Personally, Corey's passing greatly impacted me. I am already a survivor of struggling with mental health at a young age, and it is a tough battle to fight alone. Some make it and unfortunately some don’t. Luckily for me I got blessed with a great best friend, A great leader of a big cousin, and a little cousin that I will always protect like how my brother protected me.
