DACA concerns for AHS immigrants growing

Children and teenagers from immigrant families are being deported even though they are only guilty of wanting a better life for themselves, a normal life one without worries and one without prejudice. The reason I am addressing this current topic is because of the recent events with DACA recipients who are being denied the right to get a green card because of the current president; this may even effect some students at AHS. DACA, by the way, as defined by Wikipedia, is "an American immigration policy that allows some individuals with unlawful presence in the United States after being brought to the country as children to receive a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation and become eligible for a work permit in the U.S." Trump wants to revoke DACA. I certainly hope he does not.

Although their methods of getting into the United States is illegal, we as humans also have to put ourselves into their place and watch and feel from their perspective. For example, the children that are being deported don’t know their home country at all; those children didn’t choose a life of always being on the look out but they make due with what they have and try to move on get to receive a better life, one without suffering, and always looking over your shoulder, even though there are people (for example, Donald Trump) that make it impossible for those who seek a better life to actually get it. Those people want to get rid of DACA so that and the recipients stuck in limbo get deported, but there are some things they will never understand.

For one, most DACA recipients want a better life for themselves. Not all of them are bad people. In fact, most are pretty smart. These Dreamers are just like every other person because who doesn't want to have the opportunity to earn and live a better life, especially in a place where there are unlimited opportunities, a place where you can make your dreams come true, a place where you can achieve The American Dream. Those children you call alien, well, they worry. They worry about their parents working too hard and see them suffer through intensive labor. No child or parent should have to worry about being deported, being scared about not having enough food on the table, or just suffering through labor intensive work just to live, even at an old age.

Secondly, we shouldn’t blame those children for just being illegal because in reality it is not their fault since they were brought from a very young age. Those children never really had a choice but to they are trying to fit in the best way possible and most just want a better life than their parents .They want a life without the worrying so they move one and take every opportunity you can get and make due with what they have and thrive in a places that go against them all of the time. sadly it’s isn’t enough sometimes but they try, and they try very hard which is more than what most people actually do. If Donald Trump wins the case to get rid of DACA then all of those 800,000 DACA recipients will loose the jobs they have, loose all of their, personal belongings, all of their hope and all the work the immigrants are doing is basically rendered meaningless, but better yet if Trump ends up succeeding then that would mean The Great united States of America will be loosing its title of being a cultural melting pot for people of all ethnicity

Finally, children are being deported and they don’t know their own birth country then how in the world are they going to survive without a job or money. there are only a bit more than 700,000 DACA recipients all of them having little to no recollection of Their birth country so just Imagine hundreds of thousands of children being deported and separated from their family’s, and then dumped into a place they have no recollection of.

Some people think that illegal immigrants staying in the US is a huge mistake because immigrants take up their jobs and are criminals, drug dealers, and rapists, but in reality that’s not the case. There are other ethnic groups that are more susceptible to such things but immigrants take up the least wanted jobs in the US which are crop pickers, construction workers, house keepers, and the like, which are only a few of many other labor intensive work places.

Ultimately, a law is already on the books to allow for illegal immigrants who came to the US as children, by no choice of their own, to have a path towards legitimate citizenship. Why mess with it?
