How to prepare for graduation; helpful tips, specific links for seniors

Tuesday, June 5th at 8:00am, on the AHS Mooneyham Stadium, the class of 2018 will walk across the stage to be awarded their diploma. Graduation, which is the receiving of a diploma, can be the happiest moment for a senior if they complete everything that is required. June 5th, the day of graduation, is quickly approaching and it will be here before you know it.

Most seniors have senioritis by now and have not completed what is required to receive a diploma.

“I am starting to get nervous because I am not sure if I have completed everything that is needed to graduate,” Brantley, an AHS senior, states.

Nick, another AHS senior, says, “Although I cannot wait until the day of graduate, I need to make sure I turn in my decorum sheet.”

As shown, graduation can cause anxiety and each senior has multiple responsibilities in order to graduate.

In just a few easy steps you will be ready to graduate:

  1. After Graduation Survey

2. Decorum Sheet

3. Completion of Major form

4. Cap and Gown

  • Make sure you have paid for your cap and gown so that you can recieve it.

  • Check to see if it fits.. If it does not fit or if you have any questions go to https://www.rhodesgraduation.com or call 803-485-4503

5. Graduation clothing

  • Gentleman: wear black pants, black shoes, white shirt, tie (your choice)

  • Ladies: wear skirt/top or dress and black shoes (suggest not high heels b/c the ramp is steep)

**Don’t forget to check your grades and attendance to be able to graduate**
