It is never to early to prepare yourself for college. Leaving high school and transitioning to college can be a huge gap. Here are some steps that could possibly prepare you for college :
To prepare yourself for college you can take the standardized testing. These tests are known as the ACT and SAT. The ACT and SAT scores can determine what colleges you can go to. It is always suggested that you do your best and study for these two tests. You can sign up at your local school or register online. You can start taking these test as early as your sophomore year of high school. The more times you take the test, the higher or better your scores may be.
You can take AP classes to help with your critical thinking skills. In college, classes will be much more difficult and harder. By taking AP courses you can get a feel of what some college courses and classes may be like. Colleges often times look at your grades and the classes that you take. AP classes can be a big GPA and grade booster.
It is always helpful to explore and tour colleges. By touring colleges, you can see if you would like to attend that school. Touring the campus gives you an opportunity to meet students first hand and hear what they have to say about college.
Scholarships!!!! Scholarships will help you pay for your college. The more scholarships the better! There are so many scholarships that you can apply for. No one wants to pay back student loans. You want to try to avoid applying for loans because eventually you will have to pay the loans all back.
