REVIEW: Beauty & the Beast

Beauty and the Beast was a very anticipated movie by many children and even some adults. It was released on March 16, 2017.

The movie is about an adventurous girl (Emma Watson) who doesn't quite fit in with everyone in her small village. She's very beautiful and is lusted after by Gaston (Luke Evans), a very strong, handsome, and arrogant man in her village. Her father has to leave on his annual trip to the market, but on the way he has to change paths and is attacked by wolves. He finds a large castle and encounters talking teacups. He runs away and picks a rose on his way for Belle. He is captured by the Beast and held prisoner. Belle comes to find him when he doesn't return and takes his place as prisoner. She stays in the castle with the Beast and the talking furniture. She spends more and more time with the Beast and sees past his beastly face and eventually falls in love with his warm heart. In the end, he turns back into a prince and the furniture return to human, and they all live happily ever after.

The director of this movie really did an excellent job at assigning roles in this magnificent movie. The roles were played so well and made you believe that this was who they really were. They tapped into their emotions and portrayed the different personalities of the characters so well. I have nothing to complain about with the acting. It was just perfect!

The soundtrack of this movie really fit with the different scenes of this movie. There was no out of place or awkward music playing during speaking and all the songs fit the different scary or sweet scenes. I especially loved how there wasn't too much singing within the characters because it can ruin a scene or the mood to a movie, but this film didn't have that problem at all. It was the perfect combination of singing and acting all in one.

Before the movie was released, everyone was worried that the graphics and costume/makeup for the Beast wouldn't be very dramatic or realistic. I was also expecting this, but when I watched the movie I was taken aback at how realistic and beautiful the graphics, costumes, and makeup were. The Beast looked VERY realistic and all the talking furniture seemed so real like they really were alive. I thought all the graphics, costume, and makeup couldn't of been better!

Overall, I believe that the movie couldn't of been better. The acting, soundtrack, and graphics were superb. Nothing seemed bad or out of place. It was a Disney childhood classic brought back to life and adored by millions.
