How to tame your curls

Curly hair spirals, twist and turns. It comes with tangles and knots that can break your hair off, but with a great routine your hair will flourish.

Everyday I go through a routine of detangling and protecting my hair. It is not as easy as it may look or seem. Finding the right products, combs, and brushes can be frustrating.

You have to careful of what you put into your hair because moisture can be stripped from it easily. That is why it's important to try different products and see what works best. It's also important to limit the stress you put on your hair. Limit heat to your hair and get at least three hair trims per year. What follows is a more detailed, routine-specific regimen that I use which has helped me manage my own curls.

Shower Process:

  1. You want to have conditioner , a wide tooth comb , and shower with warm or cold water.

  • Wet your hair then distribute the conditioner through your hair with your fingers and detangle ends.

2. Take your wide tooth comb, detangle yours ends , and work your way up until hair is knot free.

  • After you detangle your hair you may then rinse your hair with warm or cold water. This is so your hair pores can close and help nourish your hair.

Out Of the Shower:

  1. Before you dry your hair you would want the items listed below, of any brand, that works for you.

  • spray detangle

  • wide tooth comb

  • curly hair define cream

  • coconut oil

  • blow dryer (optional)

2. Section your hair off into small sections so you can evenly distribute the products in your hair

  • Take spray detangle and spray the section, comb through by starting at ends , work your way up.

  • In these sections apply curly hair defining cream and massage through with your fingers.

  • Take the coconut oil and squirt a small amount (dime size) and scrunch your hair , spreading it evenly.

  • If you want you can air dry your hair or use a blow dryer but setting on cool.

You are finally finished!
