During the week of Charity Drive, the AHS Honors Chorus sold singing telegrams to raise money to send kids to Camp Kemo. This event occurred on Thursday, March 2nd at Airport high school.
This news is important because our our chorus sold singing telegrams for a good cause. The groups did a good job singing; members of the Honors Chorus expressed that they really enjoyed it. It's good that students are doing what they love for such a good cause.
It is also interesting, generally speaking, that our school does the Charity Drive week each year, and has done so since 1994. Overall, the school sponsors different activities and sells various items for a great cause. One of students' favorite activities are the singing telegrams. It's awesome that students sing to raise money for such a good cause.
“It was a lot of fun helping raise funds for Camp Kemo by doing what I love," said senior and veteran telegrammer, Naseeha S., said. “We raised over $200 in singing telegrams.”
“Learning my part was the easy part," said another Honors Chorus participant, Yasmeen S. “Being confident enough to sing it well in front of others was a bit tougher.”
Overall, everyone enjoyed the singing telegrams. It made everyone happy that the chorus was doing something for a great cause and sounded great also!
