Annual Mr. Eagle pageant held

This past Saturday, February 25, at Airport High School, the annual Mr. Eagle pageant was held to raise money for our annual charity drive raising money for Camp Kemo.

This event is important to the high school because it is during our annual charity week and it is a big money maker to give back to the kids of Camp Kemo and for us to reach our goal.

The Mr.Eagle pageant was a great night. We raised tons of money for Camp Kemo and also witnessed one of the magical things happen. Taylor, a junior here at Airport was diagnosed with cancer and has been on home bound but chose to compete in the pageant and oh boy, something great happened at the end. Lyndon who was chosen as the Mr.Eagle after the pageant decided to give his crown and sash to Taylor himself for competing and helping out these kids.

Haden Rimer, a Freshman who was in Mr.Eagle and won Mr.Freshman said, “Mr.Eagle was a great night and I hope to compete and again and have another great night!” Haden expressed his love for the time to do this pageant and to witness some really good stuff happen.

For more photos and videos of the pageant, tune in to the upcoming Eye on the Eagle.
