Wrestlers give opinion on upper state qualifying

On February 4-5, 10 wrestlers traveled to Greenville to try and qualify for state champions.

Most of wrestlers said that the event did not turn out the way that they had expected it to turn out. The reason is because only one person qualified for state which was Justin Green.

The wrestlers had a lot of answers and excuses to why they losses to their opponents. One of the reasons was that they said they were overweight and that the scale had cheated them. Also that the referee was cheating and favoring the other teams like they were favoring East Side High School.

Justin G. said, “The results turned out they way that I had expected it to but I wish it didn't.” He also said, “I knew that I would qualify but I didn't know that I would be the only on qualifying though.

Another person said that “the tournament was alright” and that his favorite part was “the food because I have been cutting weight all day and I was ready to eat. He also said that he was "glad it was over and ready to go home.”
