Shoutout about shoutouts
Shoutouts are a new tradition this year every Friday afternoon by Mrs. Dimmler. Shoutouts are an enthusiastic appreciation given to both teachers and students and are a great way to show appreciation and thanks to others around you. Shoutouts are at 3:15 and many people put in shoutouts for other friends and teachers along with class shoutouts as well.
A shoutout basket can easily be found and provided right in front of room number 510. No inappropriate requests will be acknowledged but kind words will be allowed towards the staff and students of Airport High School.
When asked how she felt about the schools shoutouts, Anayeli Rojas, a student at Airport High School, said, “In the beginning i enjoyed shoutouts, but now they seem kind of annoying because anymore they state nearly the entire school every Friday and take up school time”.
When asked what should be different about shoutouts, Anayeli said, “Mrs. Dimmler should say something to students to keep them remembering school rules. They should be reminded to clean up after themselves at lunch and to make sure not to leave trays anywhere. Students should be reminded to try the best they can in their classes and to remember the cell phone policy.”
Shoutouts are a good way for students and teacher to show their thanks. It was a brilliant idea for the school so students and teachers get along better and get to show each other their appreciation.
