Juniors, seniors attend on-campus college fair
Juniors and seniors at Airport High School attended a college fair in the new gym on Tuesday, October 25th. The students were able to look around at colleges they could possible attend and see what they have to offer. Many different colleges had tables set up with stickers, pictures, pencils, pens and many other souvenirs.
The college fair is to help students (juniors and seniors) decide on where they want to go for college. It allows students to see what all the colleges have to offer and what classes and opportunities they have. There were many different colleges there such as Coker University, Alabama University, Western Carolina, USC, Clemson University, Midlands Tech, National Guard (to offer ways to pay for college through the National guard), and many different other tech schools, colleges, and universities.
Many student attended the college fair and had about an hour to walk around and see their options. Also many students did not take advantage of the college fair to see the many different colleges they could attend. The college fair was a very good and important opportunity to take advantage of.
Many of the college fair tables had flags or small banners representing their schools name or name of their football team. All the tables had a card that a student could feel out all the their information if they were interested in applying to that college and would like to receive more information about the college.
Senior Austin J. said, “The college fair is a great place for students to come and see all their options for life after high school.” Very few students students thought the college fair as a waste of time but many took advantage of the college fair and took advantage and see it as an opportunity.
