New iPads generate hype
Students at airport are getting hyped over the newly added iPad this year. The iPad's were implicated into the school year of 2016-2017 for all students at Airport High School.
The reason for the hype over the iPad's is that they're supposedly better than the previous galaxy tablets. One of the major problems with the new iPad's was when they were “rolled out”, it took weeks, long lines, and multiple complications when getting the iPad's out to students and even when the students received their tablets they're were still complications with wifi at school and at home.
Students are happy about the faster performance of the new iPad's and the much longer battery life. This helps the students focus less on charging the iPad and more on getting their school work done on time. The change over to the new iPad's has been a very positive change for the students at AHS. This change over to the cleaner, faster, more powerful device should benefit the students grades and less stress of crashing apps and devices not holding nor taking charge.
One of the negative aspects to the iPad are how fragile the device is. iPad's are already reported to be shattered from the first day and more devices as weeks go on. Another negative to the tablets is the less protective cases on the more fragile device.
The student who was interviewed was currents AHS student Tyler Flannery, age 17, and a resident in Columbia, SC. He was quoted saying “I would much rather have the iPad's over the Galaxy tablets”. His reason for his opinion he said was “I like it being thinner than the Galaxy and much lighter”. He also stated “ I like them, they're basically a laptop without a keyboard”. He continued to compliment the new iPad's and went on about the positive traits.
The opinions on the new iPad's are all positive. Nearly no negative opinions were said about the iPad besides how fragile the iPad is which can always be fixed by a bigger and thicker case.
Apple has reportedly sold more than 4.5 million iPad's to US school. Also iTunes U which is a dedicated area on iTunes music where only educational audio and video files from universities, museums, and public media organizations that are free to download to PCs and mobile devices that are reportedly downloaded over a billion times.
