1st annual teacher superlatives
This year, The Eyrie staff decided to start a new tradition: teacher superlatives. In addition to the Talon Award given monthly during the semester in which Teacher Cadets is taught, as well as the two Teacher of the Year awards given at the end of each school year (one voted on by teachers, one by students), we thought it would be nice to be a little more specific and unique about some of Airport's finest faculty.
With the permission of Mr. Schilit, who said in an email, "I am fine with your idea and think it sounds fun. Please make sure nothing that can hurt feelings are cause controversy," the students first created and voted on the ten categories they wanted to award. Draft categories included "Best Dressed," "Most Chill," and "Most School Spirit," but none of these made the final cut, which can be seen below.
After categories were selected, a poll was created and emailed it to as many students the staff could think of. Within the poll, each category was listed as well as a blank space for entering the teacher considered most deserving of that title. The poll was open for approximately 24 hours. Next year, we do hope to get even more responses and may vary the
